Baptisms
King’s Church is structured according to what the early church looked like in the New Testament. We aim to see a community who are devoted to Christ, devoted to the church and devoted to the Apostles teaching and Jesus’ commandment to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (NIV). Baptism isn’t a sacred right of passage or a magical trick. Jesus commanded all Christians to be baptised as an outward expression of the change that happens when someone decides to follow Jesus. It is a practical demonstration of how you have decided to die to your old sinful life (go under the water) and have been born again, spiritually clean, thanks to Jesus (come out of the water). King’s Church encourages adult, full emersion baptism (i.e. the whole body should go underwater) for all those who have accepted Jesus as Saviour and King of their life. If you would like to be baptised then please contact us. |
