Students

King’s Church Leicester student work is led by Tim Spacagna, Hannah Banderet, Phil Jordan and Richard Ward.  We run all kinds of activities which are a great chance to get to know other students as well as to find out about midweek groups and other church based activities.

The Vision

To build a missional community of Students who are ablaze with the visible glory of God and have righteous influence over the universities and the city of Leicester.

We hope to do this by:

  1. Helping our students to grow in their relationship with God, with their fellow students and with the wider church community. This involves seeing them integrated into the church through joining a small group.
  2. Equipping, encouraging and enabling our students to spread the Good News of Jesus across the universities campuses, throughout the city of Leicester and to the ends of the earth.
  3. Raising up and encouraging our students into positions of leadership in both the church and the secular world during their time at university and preparing them for future leadership.
  4. Helping our students to gain a greater understanding of the importance of the global church and, in particular, the family of churches that is Newfrontiers.

Get involved in King’s Church

Many of our students get involved in all kinds of church activities such as:

  • Small groups
  • Children’s and youth work
  • Worship Band
  • Set up teams, etc.

King’s Church always seeks to encourage its members to utilise the gifts God has given each person to edify the Church.  If you can play an instrument or sing or do crafts or drama or be welcoming or hospitable or even just like to make tea there is a place for you at King’s Church.

Students at Meat and Eat

Meat and Eat

Every month, students are invited to our ‘Meat and Eat’ events.  These provide a chance to spend time enjoying a meal in fellowship and to hear from God’s Word about the issues surrounding student life.

We are really excited about these meetings and want to see as many students coming along as possible.

EncounterStudents at Encounter

Inspired by the major summer events Mobilise and Newday, encounter brings together students, twenties and teenagers to worship God and hear some excellent teaching in a relaxed environment. We aim is to create a place where anyone can come and encounter God.

Come and join us!
