Women

 This group is for women as part of King’s Church Leicester who can identify with the struggles of Mary and/or Martha and want support and to chat with others.

The name is based on Luke 10 vs 38-42 from the Christian Bible where you meet Mary and Martha, sisters and friends of Jesus:

- Like Mary, we long to sit at the Lord’s feet… but the daily demands of a busy world just won’t leave us alone.

- Like Martha, we love Jesus and really want to serve him… yet we struggle with weariness, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy.

Planned events:

Walk in Bradgate Park - 6th March 2010
A chance for women of all ages to get to know one another  and get some exercise as we watch the Spring time arrive and look forward to Easter.  Plus we can always stop for a tea and cake on route.
